Grandma Utz's chips are one of my favorites. As a career chef, I appreciate the natural flavor of being fried in lard. They are delicious, crunchy, and impossible to eat just one. They are a tad on the expensive side, and shelf life isn't as long as popular name brands, but worth it! Only way to get better is frying your own!
Can’t believe I found these chips again …thought they were out of production ….its crazy they are not sold in stores I can find …..These chips rank right up there with another long gone chip I cherished from the 1980’s out west as the best I’ve ever had and those were “Clover Club’s Grandma Goodwins Old Fashioned Potato Chips” The similarity is uncanny between the two …both were a Grandmothers Recipe….both were sold in 8 ounce brown bags and both sliced thicker …..The Grandma Goodwin’s left the skin on though…..Clover Cub shut down decades ago now but the name lives on on some brands ….Welcome Back Grandma UTZ!
You can’t find these chips in stores anywhere in NC, so delighted I could purchase online directly from Utz. Quick delivery time and the chips held up well in shipping, my only complaint is the short shelf life. The expiration date was approximately 30 days from the purchase. I will have to eat them quickly or eat expired but enjoying every bite, either way.
We moved out of PA last August to Southport, NC. We went searching for UTZ & luckily found them but no GRANDMA’s ( you may want to think about adding them to your distribution list, everyone we share with, here, loves them). Thankfully I can order but then I have to pay shipping. So anyway, back to GRANDMA’S they are fried perfectly, not oily, salted just right and DELICIOUS! What more could a person want in their chip?
